Big project started

In October 2015, I joined the first development team working on Hytale game, made up of several people from all around the world, each more talented than the next.

In charge of exploring new gameplay ideas, I sought to make the game (which was then still at the prototype stage) more dynamic, more modular, more open to external content and above all much more interactive, in a multiplayer way.

This is how I implemented exclusive and innovative tools and interactions, such as real-time voxel tools (with prefabs system), in-game painting (pixel-art style), facial expressions, blocks visibility in hands, in-game video integration, dynamic ambient sounds (based on environment), immersed blocks in water, C# scripting for level designers, animated block removal, interactive mechanisms (such as pressure-plate, buttons, levers, doors) and more!

Hypixel Studios

Hypixel Studios consists of a team that contribute and collaborate remotely from around the world, with members ranging from games industry newcomers to 15+ year veterans.

Their staff have a diverse set of backgrounds, but share a common passion for games and ensuring that our players are happy.

They are currently 100+ strong, covering all of the traditional roles of game development as well as a variety of operational functions.

In December 2018, Hypixel Studios surprised the video game world by revealing the trailer for Hytale, an adventure and creation sandbox game.

Since then, this 2-minute trailer has captivated over 60 million viewers, sparking unprecedented excitement and high expectations for the game.
